Junior Software Developer
About the Role
Our Marketing Automation team is looking for a fresh pair of eyes to help us out. In this role, you will contribute to the development of tools that help businesses automate their communication, personalize customer journeys, and manage data-driven marketing at scale. This is a growth-oriented position designed for someone early in their career who is eager to dive into modern SaaS development and evolve into a key contributor within our technical ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the development and maintenance of our marketing automation platform using PHP and React
Build and refine user interface components to ensure a seamless experience for our users
Assist in developing backend logic and data processing scripts that power automated workflows
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from initial planning to deployment
Collaborate with senior developers to troubleshoot issues and optimize application performance
Write clean, documented, and testable code while participating in peer code reviews
Help maintain and improve integrations between our platform and external marketing tools
Gradually take on increased ownership of specific features as your expertise grows
Preferred Skills
Foundational proficiency in PHP and/or React (we are open to frontend-leaning developers but have a strong preference for those interested in Fullstack development)
Solid understanding of web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL (We use PostgreSQL)
Experience with version control systems (We use GitLab)
A proactive "problem-solver" mindset and a genuine hunger to learn new technologies
Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly within a collaborative team environment
Nice to Have
Experience with object-oriented programming
Experience with Flow, Semantic UI, Prettier, ESLint
Knowledge email delivery systems (SMTP, MTA, DNS, DKIM, SPF, DMARC; our platform sends a lot of email)
Previous experience through internships, personal projects, or open-source contributions
Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to consume them
Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) or cloud environments (we are fully GCP)
